As the weeks progress, you will see changes and updates happening all the time. Please be patient as we have started this site from scratch and understand there will be user issues and teething problems. If you encounter any problems whilst using this site, please inform admin by clicking here.
I have set this group up, because even though I am 50+ it doesn’t mean I’m ready for the scrap heap just yet!!! Every group I have looked into for making new friends in my region is about dating.
This is NOT a dating site but a site where both Male and Female AND couples can chat, organise days out etc, find people who are interested in the same things as you in the local area, whether it be from eating out to playing bingo.
Although this is called the 50plus group, the age doesn’t really matter, as long as you are interested in our type of things, but the main target should be the over 50′s as that is what I am, I have found that this age range tends to get missed out.
I know there must be lots of you out there who are stuck in a rut and don’t know how to get out of it, how daunting it is to have to walk into a room full of strangers on your own, so come on join, chat and hopefully make new friends.
I send special notices and newsletters to members, therefore can you make sure, to avoid any important messages from Stevenage 50 Plus site being sent to your junk mail folder, that any from firstname.lastname@example.org is added to your email address book or “safe senders list”.
Please make sure you regularly check the Events Calendar for full details of any events that have been organised.
Chatroom has now moved to it’s own secure page! Please see the menu at the top of this page.

We hold monthly group meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at St Paul’s Church Hall, Turpins Rise, Stevenage SG2 8HP. The meeting is held in a hall down the right hand side of the church and not in the church itself. These meetings are a great success as well as being very constructive, they are also enjoyable and friendly, with lots of ideas and suggestions being exchanged. We offer light refreshments of tea, coffee, biscuits and juice at a cost of £1.00 per person. We invite non-members to attend and find out more about our group.
* Parking is not allowed in the main church car park, so we respectfully ask our members and guests to park in the main Broadwater shops car park (Outside the veterinary surgery).
St Pauls Church is just behind the vets. There is also a regular bus service operating and stops at Broadwater shopping parade.
Please see the map below for the location for parking
